Our suppliers are usually SMEs or individuals, so we are generally acquainted personally and that we understand each other’s founding objectives and stories.  Some of them are our friends; some are our teachers; some are new buddies we just met after founding the store.  Although we came from different areas and regions, everyone’s goal is the same we think for and care for the earth, and the balance between human minds and bodies and the earth. 

We also have our selection policy, our suppliers in fact also have their own screening over which stores they would like to work with.  We are very blessed that they are willing to launch their products on our platform to share good things together.

Packaging Policy

 

The world would not have so much garbage.  It is our usage behavior that we throw objects that are still usable in the garbage bin causing them to become garbage.  The first thing we can improve the situation is to change our consumption behavior - we recommend mindful shopping.  And then it is the way how packaging materials are handled. 

 

According to the survey results “Online Shopping Packaging Survey 2021 Release” published by “Environmental Sense” published by Green Sense in 2021 (Chinese), it was estimated that about 780.72 million pieces of online shopping packaging waste had been generated in 2020¹

 

Many packaging materials can be recycled or reused.  It is too convenient to throw away packaging materials into the garbage bin, and these wastes will then be taken to the landfill. They seemingly disappear from our sight, out of mind and all seems perfect. However, the consequence will be suffered by our descendants.  We consumed their resources without their consent.  Why do the aboriginals teach their descendants generations to generations since their ancestors’ time to take into consideration for 400 years the good and bad consequences of an act?  This is because of their love for the earth and that they are also the guardians of the earth knowing that when the earth is out of balance, we humans are nothing. As we all live on this beautiful planet, we need to also remember we are also the guardians of the earth.

 

Reduce	Reuse	Replace
unnecessary packaging and reduce the number of packaging materials that customers have to handle	packaging materials received from suppliers. Damaged materials will be taken for recycling	traditional plastic mailer bags with biodegradable/water-soluble mailer bags

Although green packaging is not a mainstream because the cost is very high especially for small shop owners, we abandoned the idea to charge customers the additional packing material cost in order to encourage green shopping. We hope that you will also support and walk side by side with us in contribution to the love for Mother Earth.  We also encourage you to reuse or recycle the packaging materials after unpacking the box, so that we can protect the earth together2.
